Product Overview
Taking the right business decision at the right time is paramount to any enterprise’s success. Correct decisions on potential risks are most effective when an action can be taken early on – based on information at hand. The “information” here in question is commonly referred to as KPIs or Key Performance Indicators which are critical for any enterprise to operate smoothly. Every KPI has a threshold which when crossed indicates a business exception and becomes a candidate for the business executives to understand the nature and cause of the business exception and take corrective measures to mitigate it.
Gourangi provides an environment to the Business user to configure KPIs, monitor them using the dashboard and automate the decision making process at real time. It also supports multi-channel alerting which can be configured as per user’s needs. With this, executives can be armed with the right information at his disposal and can take informed decisions at the earliest.

System Architecture
Gourangi is built on a lightweight container based framework and comprises of a few core components which form a tiered and scalable solution that is suitable for deployment within small, medium or large Enterprises. The significant core components are:
Data Capture Engine: Out of box, Gourangi supports capture of data traveling through the enterprise network, along with extension points for additional dynamic data sources of interest. The packet capture engine, not being in the critical path of the data, does not add to the response time of the packet yet provides insight to the information in near real time.
Complex Event Processor: Raises notifications at real time based on events generated. These notifications could be across multiple channels as identified during configuration time.
Wizard based UI: Built on standard Servlet technology, Gourangi’s wizard based User Interface makes it easy for business users to configure dashboards of KPI as per their needs. Also integrated with Open UDDI, it gives easy access to enterprise services.
Gourangi Dashboard is built on a J2EE framework and leverages widget and mashup architecture to support easy plug-and-play user interface
